Wig Care Guide

Keep your Akiss Beauty wig looking soft, beautiful and natural for longer.

Proper care makes a difference. Follow this guide to help maintain the softness, texture and overall appearance of your human hair wig.

DAILY CARE

Detangle gently
Always detangle your wig starting from the ends and gradually work your way toward the roots. Use a wide-tooth comb or wig brush and avoid pulling or brushing aggressively.

Keep product buildup to a minimum
Avoid layering heavy oils, gels, mousse and styling products. Too much product can weigh down the hair and cause buildup, dryness or tangling.

Moisturize when needed
Use a lightweight leave-in conditioner when the hair needs extra moisture. Avoid saturating the hair with heavy products.

WASHING YOUR WIG

Your wig does not need to be washed after every wear. Wash it when you notice product buildup, excess oil or when the hair needs refreshing.

1. Detangle before washing
Gently remove knots and tangles before getting the hair wet.

2. Use lukewarm water
Avoid very hot water, which can contribute to dryness.

3. Shampoo gently
Use a sulfate-free shampoo. Apply it in a downward motion without aggressively rubbing or bunching the hair together.

4. Condition
Apply a moisturizing conditioner through the mid-lengths and ends. Avoid applying heavy conditioner directly to the lace, knots or cap.

5. Rinse thoroughly
Make sure all shampoo and conditioner are completely removed.

6. Air dry whenever possible
Place the wig on a wig stand and allow it to air dry naturally. Avoid brushing or aggressively manipulating the hair while it is wet.

STRAIGHT & YAKI TEXTURES

For Straight and Yaki Straight wigs, gently brush the hair as needed to maintain a smooth finish.

Use a lightweight leave-in conditioner or serum sparingly when the hair needs additional moisture or shine.

When using a flat iron, curling iron or other hot tools, always apply a heat protectant first and avoid excessive heat.

CURLY & WAVY TEXTURES

Curly and wavy hair requires additional moisture to help maintain its pattern.

Lightly mist the hair with water and apply a small amount of lightweight leave-in conditioner to refresh the texture.

Use your fingers or a wide-tooth comb to gently detangle, working from the ends upward.

Scrunch the hair gently to help redefine the curls or waves and allow it to air dry whenever possible.

Use mousse sparingly. Too much mousse or repeated product application without washing can create buildup, causing curls to feel heavy, sticky or tangled.

Avoid brushing curly hair when dry, as this can disturb the curl pattern and create unnecessary frizz.

HEAT STYLING

Akiss Beauty human hair wigs can be heat styled, but excessive heat can shorten the lifespan of the hair.

Always:

• Apply a heat protectant before using hot tools
• Use the lowest effective temperature
• Avoid repeatedly applying heat to the same section
• Allow the hair to cool before additional styling

SLEEPING & STORAGE

For best results, remove your glueless wig before sleeping whenever possible.

Store your wig on a wig stand or mannequin head in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Before storing, make sure the hair is completely dry and gently detangled.

For longer storage, keep the wig protected in a satin or silk bag to help reduce friction, dust and tangling.

LACE CARE

Your lace is delicate and should be handled gently.

Avoid pulling, scratching or aggressively brushing near the lace and hairline.

When adjusting or removing your wig, handle the lace carefully rather than pulling directly on it.

Avoid excessive product buildup on the lace, as this can affect its appearance and longevity.

COLORING & CHEMICAL PROCESSING

Human hair can be customized and colored, but bleaching, coloring and other chemical treatments can affect the condition and lifespan of the hair.

For major color transformations, we recommend having your wig customized by an experienced professional.

Previously colored or chemically processed hair may require additional moisture and care.
